THE WORLD IS ROUND; STORIES WRAP! There's nothing new under the sun... except for everything -- if you take into account that a certain iteration at a certain instance from a certain individual is always a new discovery. I received an eNews communique this week about about a new exhibition, PIXELVILLE, where the artists create their work based upon the premise of Exquisite Corpse, a concept that originated with the Dadaists. Do they know that the digital underground a la "PICTURE ELEMENT" saluted the same, very much in pixels when no-one knew what a pixel was, in 1995? It was such an exciting thing then, as it is now.

A NEW GALAXY As Katie Couric says, "An image is only a click away." Hard for an artist to feel important in such a world and yet, being on the ground -- as in far from the realm of kings -- keeps one in touch with the real stuff. As it's evident that things here change on a dime, best to just focus on offering what you do. The way this ball game works, you may have already hit one out-of-the-ballpark straight into the Noosphere (Tielhard de Chardin) -- with a receiver ready, willing and able to catch it in the next century or two or three. I say focus on the pitch and throw it as far as you can. As kings fall, new revolutions are forming, new languages are being formulated, where tomorrow's artist becomes the master editor and story teller... wielding a new brush, a new palette, and most important, a new purpose that breaks with the current system and... GLORIUS FUTURE SHOCK! speaks to many in the past. It's time to go forward and return.
